The three shareholders of BlueTel Communications are Cliff Aylward, Hilkia Jacobs and Michael Jele, and collectively they have over 50 years experience in the Telecommunications Industry.

We as BlueTel Communications have positioned ourselves to provide professional and specialised services to the Telecommunications industry. With our experience and existing customer relationships, we believe that we will become one of the top Service providers in the Telecoms industry. We can achieve this through hard work, a strong focus on customer relationships and delivering results with excellence.

Cliff Aylward started his career in Telecommunications in 2000, which gives him 18 years’ experience in the industry in South Africa and Africa. After completing his studies, including practical training at SIEMENS, Cliff started working on Transmission projects for Siemens. Cliff worked on numerous projects and travelled extensively on the African continent. He worked in countries like South Africa, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania and more.

Cliff started his career doing installations and commissioning and worked his way up to become a senior customer service engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks.

Cliff Aylward is the Operations Director at BlueTel Communications.

Hilkia Jacobs started his career in the Clinical environment as a Trainee Clinical Engineering in 2005 at the Life Healthcare Group Port Elizabeth. On completion he joined SSEM as a Field Engineer before joining Siemens Telecoms.

He has been in the Telecoms Industry for 13 years and has gained his experience working vastly on Telkom networks as a Customer Service Engineer performing duties from Commissioning, integration, planning support and performing specialized Network upgrades and High Level Customer Support. Hilkia also supported the Telecom Namibia network with upgrades which Bluetel continues to perform to this day.

Hilkia started his career as a Junior Engineer in NSN to become an accomplished Customer Support Engineer performing End-to-End duties to gain project completion during his time at NSN, Hilkia was heavily involved in Telkom National Project during the Confederation's Cup and also the completion of the World Cup in South Africa 2010.

Hilkia Jacobs is the Financial Director at BlueTel Communications.

Michael Jele has 19 years experience in the Telecoms industry in South Africa and in most countries in Africa. He started as an apprentice at Siemens Telecommunications where he was introduced to Mobile and Fixed Networks. While training he had a chance to work in different divisions like Planning, Implementation, Maintenance and Support. Upon qualifying he was a team leader during mobile and fixed networks implementations, worked his way through the ranks from installations, commissioning, maintenance, and networks support and eventually became a Line Manager in training for the Transmission Support Department at Nokia Siemens Networks.

Michael Jele is the Managing Director at BlueTel Communications.

After a startup idea between three entrepreneurs was born in 2012, Bluetel has grown to a staff compliment of forty five full time employees, a head office in Gauteng and a second office in the Western Cape and boast a pool of ten subcontractor companies across these regions. This has all happened within a period of six years.

This includes forty technical staff and five back office support staff. Our technical staff has vast experience in rolling out SDH, DWDM and IP as well as Fiber networks all over Sub-Saharan Africa.

With the establishment of our presence in Cape Town it has allowed Bluetel to become fiber maintenance support services provider to ZTE on the MTN GPON and Smart Village network.

This was a strategic acquisition as it allowed Bluetel Communications to establish a physical presence in Cape Town as well as greatly strengthened our Fiber and OSP capabilities.
